Paquita & I went to the Russian Cafe, Luybochka, tonight. It is a small place, very clean/neat, it is a combo Deli / Cafe. It offers a decent selection of items from Russia, (and a few from Georgia / Germany.) The food is plain, very meat & potatoes type, with no frills, (not drowned in gravy.) Everything is served on paper plates. He makes everything, so he runs out of things sometimes. I wanted to order one of Everything off the small menu, but he was out of the Russian Potato Salad and the Blintzes with Farmer's Cheese. The service was quick, and the food hot. Paquita really liked the Borscht and the Blintzes with meat. I liked everything, it was not spicy, very plain, maybe add a little something to it if you want extra flavor. The Deli is open if you want to buy extras- Drinks,(Kvass!,) cookies, and Desserts. THICK - HEAVY BLACK BREAD! 😋 There is a Georgian Plum Sauce that I bought that is quite tasty, I suggest buy a bottle from the Deli and use with the meal. We went back the next weekend with our friends, 13 total, we had a great time!

It is small but impecable clean. The owner, a guy from Moldova is so friendly. He even gives you some extra bread for free and he gets happy to see customers like his food. Best future here is the meat (specially Salami) it is so tasty and affordable prices. I took my wife here so she could try slavic soup and she loved it. Definitely recommended and going back

This is my second time visiting. It’s really nice to find Russian foods in my local area. Usually I have to import them directly or a shop in New York. This time I decided to have their full sandwich, Russian potato salad, Pelmeni, with Kvas and for dessert a blueberry cheesecake. The prices are great and the food is even more amazing! You definitely get your value for money with this food and can’t stop getting over how great the sandwich was. I haven’t had one that good since my childhood. The service was perfect and very friendly. The second I walked into the shop, the shopkeeper was very attentive to help me find what I needed. I ended up also buying a small bucket of Blackcurrant Jam. If you’re looking for Russian foods or wanting to try something new from the normal fast food choices, definitely check this place out, you won’t regret it! Еще раз спасибо за отличный сервис! )

Yes it is definitely a little “hole in the wall” but it is very clean and food is homemade and EXCELLENT!!! We will definitely be back again. We almost had everything on the menu, lol. We left stuffed!!! The owner was very friendly and made us feel at home.
